Making the Cloud all About the Application, Not Infrastructure
Uncomplicate the Cloud
Migrate and manage a broad spectrum of new and existing application types and technologies with data to, from or between any datacenter, private cloud or public cloud environment. No more cloud specific scripts. No more re-coding of application code.
Meet the changing needs of the business with a common platform that supports growth and fosters innovation while achieving visibility and control, by delivering the right user, the right application on the right cloud. Complete with financial controls, internal billing plans, as well as audit and reporting.
Utilize service provider capacity for temporary workloads during scheduled peak usage or based on real-time performance triggers. Leverage cloud economies and scalability for high performance computing jobs, batch processing, bursting, or cross-cloud high availability and disaster recovery.
Offer on demand deployment of Dev and Test stacks, automate full stack deployment via integration with build and continuous integration tools, or use different cloud environments for different stages of an application release lifecycle such as development, test, stage, and production.
Deliver speed and rate of innovation that the cloud offers while securing data and applications spanning multiple clouds, applications and users. CliQr supports enterprise marketplace and multi-tenant federated administration and financial controls such as chargeback to deliver visibility and control for cloud of cloud deployments.
NTT i3 Uses CliQr for a Cloud Migration Service"NTT i3 and CliQr share a common belief that for cloud computing to reach its full potential there needs to be an efficient way to de-couple business applications from the complexity of inherently diverse hybrid cloud environments. We’re pleased to partner with CliQr to deliver complete lifecycle management of both new and existing applications with a suite of hybrid cloud management services for NTT clouds."
The NTT Innovation Institute Inc. (NTT i3) is an innovation arm of the Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Group, the biggest telecommunications company in the world, having 80% of the Fortune Global 100 as customers, more than 220,000 employees in 72 countries and about $130 B in total revenues.
NTT i3 was tasked to create a new commercial “cloud of clouds” branded NTT Clouds that leverages both the individual and combined strengths of its family of disparate private and public cloud environments with a powerful common services portal. The service portal would allow customers to move and manage applications to and between cloud environments.
NTT i3 built a brand new services portal that includes three products: Plan, Migrate, and Develop. At the core of Migrate is CliQr’s CloudCenter platform which enables NTT I3 customers to rapidly on-board both new and existing applications and determine best execution venues across its family of private and public clouds.
Being powered by CliQr, application workloads within NTT Clouds, using Migrate can be portably moved across each of NTT’s cloud constituents with no additional migration effort. This allows NTT customers to seamlessly optimize workload placement based on use case criteria.
IT-as-a-Service: Self-Service Agility with Centralized Control"We were running into challenges with shadow IT, scalability and slow IT service provisioning and knew the cloud could ease these issues but we were looking for a partner who provided a comprehensive and easy-to-use approach to cloud application migration."
Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) operates more than 90 research and patient care centers and is the only private medical school in the southwestern United States. Located in Houston, BCM is recognized as a premier health sciences university and is known for excellence in education, research, and patient care.
Shadow IT among research teams not utilizing grant money efficiently across the large organization.
Baylor College of Medicine IT department extended CliQr using our REST APIs to create an IT-as-a-Service system with an integrated services catalog.
Research teams get on-demand self-service provisioning on an internal private cloud based on Cisco UCS Director and VMware. IT can now control costs and enforce lifecycle management centrally, but give research teams the flexibility they need.
Advancing Modern Software Delivery as it Moves to the Cloud"This partnership provides global enterprises the ability to deploy TeamForge in virtually any commercial cloud of their choosing and to help streamline the application delivery processes across disparate teams and methodologies, scaling to 10’s-of-thousands of users and thousands of projects."
Agile methodologies and DevOps tactics are proven strategies to increase an organization’s ability to release software quickly. CollabNet TeamForge enables modern and governed Agile processes by providing an integrated platform to manage and automate a collaborative software delivery lifecycle—from idea to deployment.
CollabNet’s clients wanted the ability to deploy TeamForge on a variety of public and private clouds. Addressing this need without having to go through the expensive learning curve for each potential cloud was an expensive proposition for CollabNet, who simply wanted to augment their product with cloud options. For CollabNet, they wanted to make the move to the cloud without altering their application, not get locked into any one cloud and have all the management features required to manage commercial users on the cloud.
CollabNet modeled TeamForge in multiple configurations using the CliQr platform so that customers could securely deploy and manage application builds onto any private or public cloud without complex cloud-specific scripting. The result enables enterprises to select one cloud/configuration pair for dev/test and another for production while allowing data to easily be moved between the two.
Now, TeamForge customers, with the ability to very quickly deploy dev/test or production workloads on any cloud, flexibility they didn’t have before. That translates into lower cost of ownership and increased quality now that their software is cloud-enabled.
Maximizing Productivity and Creating New Revenue Opportunities via Virtual Prototyping on the Cloud"Our race engineers have as little as a week to find the optimal setup for the next race. When working on production vehicle programs, they have to comprehend increasingly complex vehicle subsystem interactions within shrinking program timelines. We needed to enable them to evaluate larger design spaces and dramatically decrease their time spent waiting for results."
Founded in 1989, Pratt & Miller Engineering is a full-service engineering and manufacturing company. Pratt & Miller’s advanced simulation software has made them the dominant force in professional motorsports, having won the “24 Hours of Le Mans” seven times.
Insufficient compute resources were restricting Pratt & Miller’s ability to quickly and affordably run simulations, costing them valuable time and potentially a race.
CliQr enabled Pratt & Miller to on-board their application quickly to run on any CliQr supported private or public cloud. Pratt & Miller was able to benchmark price and performance across any cloud or instance type or size. Powerful command line access allowed seamless parallelization of workloads without impacting user experience.
Simulations, which had previously taken days to run, were parallelized and elastically scaled on the cloud allowing them to be completed in hours. Pratt & Miller benchmarked multiple clouds to determine trade-offs between price and performance between different clouds and choose the best execution engine for running their compute-intensive simulations.
PZFlex SaaSified Their App in No Time Flat with CliQr"CliQr took a lot of time and risk out of the migration and made choosing the right cloud obvious."
Founded in 1949, Weidlinger became a leading U.S. structural engineering firm with a focus on solutions to model and simulate physical elements in building and transportation design, applied science research, and physical security.
PZFlex, one of the Weidlinger software packages, required expensive desktop hardware and a dongle-based licensing system to realize the full value of the solution. This slowed market adoption and limited return on investment.
CliQr provides a secure, flexible, and scalable platform that allows PZFlex to be deployed on any supported public or private cloud. Multi-tenant provisioning, metering, and billing eliminated the need for hardware based licensing.
Accelerated PZFlex implementations, access to unlimited cloud compute capacity, and more flexible purchasing options—all based on the CliQr platform, allows PZFlex customers to run simulations in hours instead of days.
