Telecompaper: Cisco acquires cloud search startup Synata
Cisco has announced the acquisition of Synata, a San Francisco-based startup that it says will enhance the search tools of its Cisco Spark business collaboration service. Synata’s technology allows users to search both on-premise and cloud-based applications simultaneously from one platform and will be added to the Cisco Spark application, which runs on the company’s collaboration cloud. Cisco added that its enterprise customers have been requesting faster and more accurate search capabilities within Cisco Spark.
